To our recycling patrons in Floyd County:
I want to apologize for any inconvenience caused by the early closure of our Grant Line Road and Galena drop off sites on Wednesday afternoon. We certainly did not expect the high winds experienced on Tuesday to be a factor once again. The safety of our customers and our team is always our top priority. The afternoon wind gusts created conditions that we judged to cross the line of safety.
The site at 3005 Grant Line Road will open as scheduled at 9:00 AM on Thursday. For our friends who frequent the Galena Digital Library location, we understand that this is a particular inconvenience given Galena operates only on Wednesdays. The commitment to recycling of those who routinely visit that location is exceptional, for it’s not unusual for over 400 vehicles to come by on a typical Wednesday. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced.
